Discussion
With the debate (debate), I say that a different viewpoint understand it and argues about a certain public subject (the debate of the wide sense). I say the discussion (a meeting). The debate is different from a discussion (discussion) and the simple argument closely, but tends to be called "debate" - "discussion" without these distinction generally (the debate of the most wide sense). This usage has even the feeling that I have already fixed, but the viewpoint that it is wrong how to use is deep-rooted. Education debate (academic debate) performed for various education purposes can be merely called "debate" (the debate of the narrow sense). Among the people concerned with education debate, speaking of "debate", it usually points in particular at education debate. By the education debate, the most are performed in the form of the competition to compete for persuasive power. The debate that is performed as a competition called the competition debate (competitive debate) (the debate of the most narrow sense). There are many different styles, and it is chosen depending on a purpose.
